The pocket tv page
This site is devoted to the second most coolest things on earth secondly to cars
A site about cars was quite corny but about pocket lcd tv,s was not
My own theory about the invention is that mr Sinclair (the man behind the spectrum and Z-80) invented it in the early eighties .
He made the first black and white flat tube (it's still a tube but it is almost as flat as lcd)
After him came many others including Casio and Citizen who are still in the scene
Casio made the more cheaper lcd Tv mostly with passive matrix screen (I've got a Casio 4" active matrix 7-system which is very rare) They are still in the lcd tv scene
Citizen oriented more on the most smallest and most flatest tv's , Citizen is also in the scene
Phillips made a few multi-system pocket high-end tv's , I'm still out find one phillips lcd tv but I still can't find one ( I'm looking for the Pal-NTSC-SECAM model , I don't know the code for it :( ) but unfortunately they stopped making them :(
Sony started first with strange tube TV's made with an tube like some security systems still have , in the late eighties they made one of the coolest things , the video walkman , an integrated video with tv a 4 inch TFT-active matrix screen , now they only make passive matrix tv's with a 2,2" screen
Panasonic and Sharp made the more high-end screens with 3,2" , unfortunately they stopped
Supertech has started to make LCD tv's
Also does Clarion , Alpine and Allon , I hope more will come , In my car I have the allon INTEC 5500 5.5" active matrix screen with navatron
These pocket screens had pioneered the big flat monitors and tv's
The strange tubes
High end tv's
The real small ones
today's line up of tv's
